MIAMI BEACH, Fla. - March 29, 2016 - PRLog -- This year's production is directed by Mrs. Sarah Berman, who is on the English faculty at the school and holds a degree in theatre. She has worked as a casting assistant for TV and film on shows including Burn Notice, Magic City, Graceland, The Glades, and Iron Man 3. This is the 6th show she has directed in South Florida.

While Mrs. Berman is responsible for everything involved in the show, she gives all the credit to the students, who not only act, but paint the sets, supply costumes and design props.

About her selection for this year, she says, "I chose "The Odd Couple" for this year's comedy because it is fun, lighthearted, and an iconic tale. Two jilted men who couldn't be more opposite, find themselves in a difficult situation that forces them to room together. The audience gets to witness these two conflicting personalities at their best, and worst. This play was written, and is set, in the 1960's, however, it transcends time because it depicts an iconic, somewhat stereotypical, relationship between two roommates. Everyone knows a Felix or an Oscar. In fact, a lot of married couples are faced with the same conflicts as Felix and Oscar. As most of the cast are seniors, and college dorm life is eminent, I think they can learn from Felix and Oscar's situation.

This play was made for our cast. Our two leads, Daniel Ben Avner and Daniel Bister, are the "real-life" Felix and Oscar. Their on-stage chemistry is undeniable, and the audience will be in for a treat!"

She goes on to describe the main theme of the play, "Not everyone will be like you, but if you help each other out, and are kind, things will work out. This is a concept we try to teach our students and we hope they will carry it with them as they move forward with their lives."

Everyone is invited to join us at this family comedy.
