Organizations Can Now Automatically Broadcast NWS/NOAA Weather Alerts with Regroup Mass Notification
With a powerful API integration provided by Regroup Mass Notification, institutions no longer have to manually disseminate weather alerts to the public.
The new API development will enable weather alerts to be triggered automatically when they are issued by NWS/NOAA, meaning users will no longer have to manually disseminate the alert to their networks, resulting in faster, more efficient communication when severe weather occurs.
"The integration comes after 90 days of relentless testing and implementation through the system's API, resulting in an easy-to-use feature that will be very beneficial to our clients. Not only are we making this advanced technology available to the public, but we're also working towards a common goal of keeping the public informed and safe during severe weather," said Joe DiPasquale, CEO of Regroup.
Customization is also a key feature of this integration. Administrators will be able to not only define who gets a weather alert based on a geographical area - whether it be one county or several - but also select the type of alert from a set of events that NWS/NOAA has already populated, such as tornado warnings, extreme weather, floods, snow, heavy rain and more.
The NWS/NOAA integration is the latest in a series of system enhancements that Regroup Mass Notification has made in their efforts to be thought leaders in the emergency and mass notification industry.
