PLYMOUTH, Mass. - March 28, 2016 - PRLog -- Heidrea for Heroes (www.heidrea4heroes.org),  a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing resources and support to military men and women facing challenges and hurdles after transitioning back to civilian life, announced today that Liam Gale has joined the organization as Project Assistant.  The Air Force Veteran and Reservist started with Heidrea for Heroes last month.

In this position, Gale is responsible for coordinating the fulfillment details of individual service projects for veterans in need. This can include finding contractors to suit the project, coordinating details, contacting veterans, holding site visits, soliciting donations of materials, and scheduling project phases.

Gale completed his bachelor's degree in homeland security from American Military University last month.   He first learned about Heidrea for Heroes by attending one of the organization's Success Readiness Seminar Series (held in partnership with Massasoit Community College) upon his return to Massachusetts from New Mexico, where he had been on active duty in the Air Force until September 2015.

Gale also recently made news for being one of two members at an area gym who responded when a fellow gym member suffered a heart attack by making sure someone called 911 and using an automated external defibrillator to bring the victim back to life while they awaited the ambulance.  His clear thinking and fast action resulted in the victim making a full recovery, and he was recently honored for his efforts in a ceremony at the Plymouth Police Station.  Originally from Marshfield, Mass., Gale currently resides in Plymouth, Mass.

"I really enjoy the outreach with veterans, and especially the chance to talk with older veterans," said Gale.  "I am glad to have found a position where I can contribute toward making the lives of our veterans better," he added.

Jesse Brown, co-founder of Heidrea for Heroes, said, "We are excited to welcome Liam to our organization.  With his combination of experience and enthusiasm, we believe he will have a very positive impact on Heidrea for Heroes, and on our veteran community."

About Heidrea for Heroes, Inc.

With offices in Plymouth's Cordage Park, they seek volunteers and investors to help them realize their dream; they recently received a $40,000 donation from the New England Wireless Association. Heidrea for Heroes provides adaptive home and vehicle modifications, wheelchair ramps, mobility equipment, and individualized veteran/family support that aim to inspire and motivate veterans and families to move forward through transitions. Heidrea for Heroes has an application process for veterans in need of assistance and welcomes Massachusetts veterans of any age to submit.
