RIVERSIDE, Calif. - March 25, 2016 - PRLog -- International Communications Corporation Inc. (ICC Networking), a provider of business-class, software-optimized IP data infrastructure solutions for Hospitality, SMB/e, and Service Providers expands its industry-leading flexible Unified Access Control System (ACS) platform with enhanced capabilities.  The added software features enhance Security with 11 different Wireless Intrusion Detection methods, Architecture flexibility with premise and virtual capabilities, and enhance Content Control driven by software features to ensure performance and return-on-investment.

These enhanced capabilities in our ACS lines (Link Series switch and switching premise/hosted controllers and ICX Series 802.11ac Access Points) enable any size business to establish a flexible framework for their IP network needs that stretch well into the future.  Unlike most IP data networking solutions, ICC Networking product lines are geared toward extending the life and use of the network ecosystem.  "These solutions use software to optimize content flow much like intelligent traffic cops, while at the same time ensuring delivery of user data" said Salman Qureshi, CTO of ICC Networking.  The combination results in a higher performing network environment, increased stability, and better use of cloud or hosted architectures.  The Link / ICX platforms also enable more BYOD/BYOC migration to take place as businesses shift to more efficiency-focused business methodologies.

Security
Security is the central concern as ecosystems try to be more open to increase performance, ease-of-use, and flexibility.  ICC Networking's ACS (Link/ICX) platforms now come standard with 11 different methods to deploy Wireless Intrusion Detection (WIDS) and IPS.  IT administrators can continue to select the standard Rogue AP detection but now can opt for higher measures of security that come included in the ACS platforms.  Additional features include User Isolation, URL blocking, Threat Detection and Blocking, 802.11i (user location detection), VIP user priority access, AP escape, and many other measures designed to allow legitimate data use while layering on security keep out threats.

Flexibility
Already one of the most flexible platforms, ICC Networking's ACS architecture adds the ability to not just manage localized access points while the controller is remote, but also to do so without the use of VPN requirements.  Complemented by added security features, the ACS platform uses CAPWAP to encrypt and can tunnel between locations to deliver management and policy instructions. Moreover, based on client policy requirements, data traffic can then be forwarded locally or encrypted and stored offsite, keeping sensitive corporate data stored as required.  Complemented by the switching technology, the ACS (Link/ICX) solution can maintain policy, security, and connectivity requirements from the edge to the core of the client network.

Content Control
Security and Flexibility are also joined by ICC Networking's Content Control features, designed to increase efficiency to ensure a stable network that  is higher performing.  While QoS, Rate Limiting, and Bandwidth Management are a standard part of the system, ICC Networking enhances those with deeper levels of control. Quality services include class mapping, device, application, and user optimization.  The ACS platform also supports policy routing, multicast routing including PIM configuration, and support for IPv6 through the whole solution line.  Deep TSPEC, packet inspection, and other content control capabilities allow clients in small but growing business segments the ability to expand feature support as their business needs dictate.

The new architecture of onsite/offsite, cloud/premise, and other combinations are not a decision about choosing one or the other - rather having the ability to do any design based on local, regional, and global requirements of a business.  "The tools to be flexible while extending the life of your network is vital as user technology continues to evolve faster than networks can keep pace with," said Keith M. Alexis, CEO of ICC Networking.  "At ICC Networking we use software to help our channels and clients get the most from our hardware solutions, while at the same time making sure the business model is as simple as possible with an all-inclusive feature set and lifetime warranty."
