Walk In Tubs Now Available by Aqua Therapy in Phoenix
Bathtub modifications providing pain relief, easier accessibility for active adults
By: Aqua Therapy Tubs
Rogers and co-owner Kevin Sanders are now helping improve the lives of Valley seniors - and anyone with limited mobility or chronic pain - with therapeutic walk-in tubs through their company Aqua Therapy.
Walk-in tubs are safety modifications originally designed to reduce fall risk by allowing individuals to enter the bath without having to cross the high thresholds of standard tubs. According to the CDC (Center for Disease Control), there were 234,094 bathroom falls in 2008 with approximately 65.8% of those reported occurring getting out in and out of the shower or tub.
According to Rogers, "In addition to safety our models provide therapy in the form of hydrostatic pressure, buoyancy and resistance that help the user regain balance, flexibility and strength. Our tubs can even help relieve back pain. Our customers also like that our tubs are attractive and look great in any home or retirement community."
Aqua Therapy is the authorized dealer in Arizona for the Ella line of tub and shower modifications out of Chicago. Models start at 10K for Acrylic walk-in tubs, 8K for Gel tubs and 5K for Low Threshold showers with pricing depending on the size of the model. Their Acrylic tubs include a full parts and labor lifetime warranty. Turnaround time is less than 2 weeks from time of order and installation takes one day to complete.
Sanders, a licensed contractor with 20+ years of experience in construction has installed over 400 walk-in tubs throughout Arizona. "I've seen so many companies over-charging for inferior products and taking advantage of the elderly. I wanted to create a company founded on quality and integrity that offers solid bath solutions at a fair price." He approached Rogers with his idea and they founded the company in 2014.
Rogers adds that, "Our products are very popular because they fill and drain in half the time of other tubs and also feature high-quality stainless steel and tempered glass - not hollow plastic doors. In addition, we are locally owned and operated and believe in providing excellent customer service even after the sale."
Most of the company's recent installations have been in private residences and active communities in Sun City and Mesa but they are looking to expand throughout the Valley and into other parts of Arizona. The company also offers discounts to veterans.
Customers are also "raving" about Aqua Therapy. Don Mahoney in Sun City was suffering from the aftermath of 4 back surgeries when he had his tub installed in 2014. He says that "my mobility has increased significantly and the massaging jets have relieved most of my back pain."
