Revolutionary emission reducing technology for the internal combustion engine

This technology accelerate the burn rate leading to up a 25% better fuel economy and up to 80% decreases in exhaust emissions, specifically: Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), Particulate Matter (PM and PN), Hydrocarbons and Carbon Monoxide (CO).

EXETER, U.K. - March 24, 2016 - PRLog -- Cgon have launched a revolutionary new 'fuel additive system' that delivers 80% reduction in harmful fuel emissions and improved fuel efficiency by 25%.

The £699 unit can be easily retrofitted into the engines in cars, vans, buses, motorcycles and even boats and has been proven to reduce emissions on even the newest models of some of the UKs best-known cars.

Retired Royal Navy Submariner Brian Sheard and former Construction Manager Mark Fox have just been granted seven international patents for the product, the technology and the design that make it so unique.

Brian first conceived the idea whilst serving on a Hunter-Killer class nuclear submarine, where he was responsible for maintaining a piece of equipment called an electrolyser which produces fresh oxygen for the 100 strong crew on board.

Whilst on deployment, Brian realised that the same process used to produce oxygen could be applied to car engines to significantly reduce the production of harmful gases.

Once retired from the Royal Navy, Brain met car enthusiast Mark who was equally interested in fuel economy technologies. The unlikely duo teamed up, and using Mark's MOT garage in Exeter as a base, they spent more than seven years trialling new technologies until they finally got it right.

Brian said: "With recent reports that London breached annual EU pollution limits just one week into 2016, there couldn't be a better time for us to be able to start rolling out the new E-zero 1. There are currently around 32 million vehicles across the UK that could benefit from this product. If half of all the vehicles in London were to have these fitted, it would have a positive impact on emissions rates within hours, dramatically reducing the number of premature deaths due to chemicals such as Nitrous Oxides (NOx) and Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) and Particulate Matter (PM)."

The system's intelligent technology is neatly packaged into a cell that can be retrofitted into any motor vehicle. All of the electronics, tool works and design has been developed by the team at Cgon, and all of the manufacturing is carried out in collaboration with firms in the South West, the majority of which are based in Exeter.

The product has been officially tested at Millbrook, Europe's leading technology centre, Emissions Analytics, an independent analytical firm specialising in fuel efficiency and the Clarkes Laboratory in the USA.

The E zero 1 is now available on the market and can be purchased by anyone, from fleet vehicle owners to domestic car users.  Cgon are also looking for additional professional installers and garages interested in becoming approved fitters of the products, as well as business owners who are interested in installing the product on fleet vehicles to reduce fuel usage and Diesel Particulate Filter costs.

Councillor Rosie Denham, Lead Councillor for Economy and Culture, Exeter City Council said: "Cgon are a very exciting company for us to have here in Exeter. They have shown dedication to their business and devotion to reducing air pollution. Having come up against so many barriers along the way, we are so pleased that they have continued and now have a product ready to go on the market. Exeter is proud to be home to this fantastic business and we will continue to support them in their growth. There is no doubt that that they will rapidly become a big name within the industry."

About Cgon

Cgon (which stands for Carbon Gone) was founded in 2012 by retired Royal Navy Submariner, Brian Sheard and motor trade entrepreneur Mark Fox. The pair spent several years researching fuel economy technologies whilst running a garage at Pinhoe, before launching Cgon and applying for investment. The company has raised a total of £550,000 since November 2014 through crowd funding platform Crowdcube and other private investments in order to bring the product to the market.

The product is being manufactured in the UK and distributed by Cgon. The unit is virtually maintenance free and has been safety tested in many hazardous conditions.  It is expected to retail at less than £1,000 a unit. Customers wishing to express their interest can visit www.Cgon.co.uk

Cgon is looking for professional installers and garages that are interested in becoming approved fitters of the Cgon product range.

Unlike other products on the market, the E-zero 1 does not produce dangerous by-products such as Hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)), a genotoxic carcinogen chemical which is regulated by statute law. The system stays clean and does not produce Cr(VI). This has been validated by the Clarkes Laboratory in the USA.
