The Naples Players To Hold Auditions for Catch Me if You Can

NAPLES, Fla. - March 23, 2016 - PRLog -- The Naples Players will hold auditions for their summer musical Catch Me if You Can beginning at 12:00 pmon Sunday, April 10 at Sugden Community Theatre, 701 5^th Avenue South, Naples. Four principal men are needed for this production; three men, ages 35-65, and one man, age 18-35. Three principal women are needed; two women, ages 40-60, and the other age 18-30. A strong singing and dancing ensemble is also needed to play a large number of additional supporting roles.

This high-flying musical comedy is about chasing your dreams and not getting caught. Set in the 1960s, theatre-goers will follow the young and charming con-artist Frank Abignale Jr. as he forges his way to millions and successfully poses as a pilot, a doctor and a lawyer. Catch Me If You Can soars with a riveting story, an infectious score and high-energy dance numbers.

Those auditioning are asked to prepare 32 bars (about one minute) of a song. An accompanist will be provided.  A short dance combination will be taught as well.  The Naples Players encourage any and all persons interested in being a part of a production to audition.

Rehearsals begin May 9. Performance dates are July 1 - July 31. Perusal scripts are available at the box office with a $20 deposit. The box office is open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday - Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  For more information, call 239-434-7340, ext. 100.
