Launch Local, Inc. Takes a Bite out of the Big Apple

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - March 23, 2016 - PRLog -- Last week, two Launch Local, Inc. team members had the opportunity to go to New York City, to work on behalf of the New York Mets. Ben Filimon, and Shane Dillon, were able to use their skills that they have learned in the Penn-Ohio region, in Manhattan, aiding the New York Mets with their "Fan Appreciation" campaign.

         "I feel like the trip benefited me tremendously", said Shane. "The trip to New York City confirmed that my opportunity was out there. It was amazing to work with so many different cultures in one city. Our fast pace was the same, our attention to detail was something that helped us adapt as well."

Ben agreed, "To be able to be in a city THAT size, and to still be able to teach and make a successful impact was definitely a confidence booster, and helped me realize my abilities. I definitely feel like the skills I developed in Youngstown, were applicable in New York. Like anywhere, you need to be able to adapt to your surroundings, which is one of the biggest things I have learned at LLI."

Ben and Shane were able to leave their mark with the team as well. Shane explains, "Coming from a smaller city, we are used to being able to find everyone to talk with. In a bigger city it can be overwhelming. So, when it came to training, I think we were able to help with the attention to details."

"Teaching WHY we do what we do, and helping the community was something we brought to the table as well", says Ben.

The guys from LLI felt that they learned a lot from the crew in New York. Shane states "I learned you have to go and take what you want. It can't be handed to you. I learned the skills I have been taught here in Youngstown will serve me well no matter where I may go in my future."

Ben feels, "I came to the realization that my goals were falling into place. I learned how to adapt to different environments, from a different office with different people, to a different market like the fast-paced, East Coast. I also learned how to adapt to those different environments and come out successful."
