April is Child Abuse Prevention Month - Funds Raised At Premiere Go To PAVE Non-Profit By: Fearless LLC "Invisible Scars", an award winning documentary by Johnna Janis, who bravely confronts her experience of childhood sexual abuse at the hands of her father, aims to strike down the shame and guilt often felt by victims of sexual abuse and be a voice for survivors so they can begin their own healing journey. The conversation around child sexual abuse is gaining momentum with the recent Academy Award win for Best Picture: Spotlight, the President Obama and Vice President Biden spearheaded movement: 'It's On Us' and Child Abuse Awareness Month in April. "As a survivor of child sexual abuse, I spent many years withdrawn, struggling with the psychological repercussions of my abuse and ultimately, was a prisoner of my own silence," said Johnna Janis.
