Event to Showcase the Film and Arts Community in Worthington, with Proceeds Benefiting the American Cancer Society

WORTHINGTON, Ohio - March 22, 2016 - PRLog -- Today, Elevate Pictures, an entertainment company telling stories that connect people through the universal platforms we all share, announced it will host, "Flicks and Fashion: Aller Au Cinema," a night of fundraising, film and fashion. The event takes place at the McConnell Arts Center and the Whitney House, March 31 from 7 to 10 p.m.

The evening marks the official premiere of "Aller au Cinéma," directed by Jeremy Hughes, CEO of Elevate Pictures and Worthington resident. The film focuses on the timeless love found in the movies, with the addition of a live orchestra accompaniment, composed and conducted by film score composer Todd Maki (http://www.toddmakicomposing.com/).

"There are some exciting things happening in the arts community right here in Worthington, and we hope everyone will come out to join us March 31 as we showcase film and fashion while we raise money to support the American Cancer Society," said Hughes.

"The Peggy R. McConnell Arts Center of Worthington is thrilled to be a part of Aller Au Cinema," said Jon Cook, executive director, Peggy R. McConnell Arts Center. "The mission of the Center is aimed at supporting those artists that are creating in our own community, and Aller Au Cinema is certainly a great marriage of film and fashion, accompanied by live orchestration that allows for the extremely talented artists to share their work."

Following the film, a salute to the days of prohibition will take place at the Whitney House in downtown Worthington. Jazz, food and drinks will be enjoyed, as signature items by local fashion designer Tina Marie (http://tinamariestyle.com/)'s line are auctioned off. These garments, featured in "Aller au Cinema," debuted at New York Fashion Week. Attendees may purchase "frankies" as an add-on to their tickets, to be used in exchange for bathtub gin and fashion purchases.
