Nerac to host the next XcellR8 meeting March 24

TOLLAND, Conn. - March 22, 2016 - PRLog -- Nerac is pleased to announce the next XcellR8 meeting which will be held Thursday, March 24, 2016 at the Nerac headquarters in Tolland, CT.  The XcellR8 meetings are high energy, interactive gatherings for entrepreneurs to pitch ideas and concepts and to brainstorm creative solutions to challenges.

After losing his mother to cancer in 2009, company founder Lewis Valenti took his 15 years of experience in business development and product innovation to launch a high-tech hydroponic greenhouse that will transform commercial growing.  On a mission to mass produce healthier, safer greens, Atlantic Produce Inc. is positioned to be the purest producer of leafy greens in the United States.  His 100% herbicide and pesticide free growing methods are enabled by his relationships with the progressive growing community in the Netherlands and independently validated by agriculture experts at the University of Rhode Island.  While many have said that chemical-free growing is impossible, his 8,400 square foot beta greenhouse proves otherwise.  What's more, there is already significant market demand for Boston Greens in the short 6-months that they have been in operation.

Valenti will outline his progress to date, share plans for a public/private partnership with URI, and plans for a 4-acre high tech greenhouse that will evolve into a 16-acre greenhouse by 2019.  Atlantic Produce Inc. has already raised $1.2M in equity.  The company is now raising an addition $2M ($1M equity and $1M in debt) to support future expansion. XcellR8, established as a networking cell in northeastern Connecticut, was one of four cells originally created by members of the Connecticut Technology Council executive board, including Nerac CEO, Kevin Bouley. Nerac generously makes space available to support this community of entrepreneurs.
