ETC… Readers Theatre Announces April 3 Performance

NAPLES, Fla. - March 22, 2016 - PRLog -- "Reality Check, Please!" is the theme for the next performance by ETC…Readers Theatre of The Naples Players. Experienced and new readers led by veteran directors will present four one-act plays in the Tobye Studio of Sugden Community Theatre, 701 5th Avenue South, on Sunday, April 3 at 7:30 P.M..

Directed by Mary Wallace and written by Nick Zagone, "Thirty Minutes To Charlie" introduces an injured man and his friend in a hospital emergency room. The nurse and hospital assistant don't seem too interested in helping the wounded man. Why is that? Readers will be Patty Traverse, Janice Thomson, Ron Wietecha and Charlie Sloin.

"Gerald's Bench," written by Allan Williams, features two men who meet in a park. Neither is what he appears to be. The park bench is home to Gerald, who has an unusual reason for being there...which involves the unsuspecting Daniel. Vic Caroli directs a cast consisting of Charles Brown, Kevin Buja and Carol Comeaux.

In "Free the Frogs," by Carrie Luft, a bright young student is called in to the assistant headmaster's office concerning her behavior in class…when she comes to class at all. Surely she has good reasons. Doesn't she? Readers Phil Cole, Fatima DaSilva and Joan West are directed by Janina Birtolo.

"On Speaking Terms," written by G. L. Horton, presents the story of a family party, an empty room, and the unplanned meeting of a divorced couple. Conversation doesn't go too badly. Might something more tantalizing happen? Anna Segreto directs a cast comprised of Danny Atkinson and Marcia Williams.
