Classic Sport Ignition Distributors arrive at Denis Welch Motorsport

Often parts can be difficult or expensive to find and if you want to alter your ignition timing this can be a long and involved process. Modern additives have drastically changed the burn characteristics of modern fuels; consequently the settings devised by the factory are often inappropriate. Classic Sport Ignition (CSI) distributors preserve the original look but replace the mechanical advance mechanism with modern electronics which takes the any mechanical play out of the equation. Removing the points and condenser means no more gaps to set or dealing with often unreliable condensers. Cars fitted with CSI distributors will run more smoothly and more efficiently throughout the rev range and can be adjusted to alter power and torque characteristics to suit driver requirements. The Classic Sport Ignition distributor has been proven in numerous classic competitions including circuit racing, hill climbs, rally and time trials.

Supplied with fitting instructions and with 16 advance curves to choose from, designed by Denis Welch Motorsport, these units are ideal for those who want to fit and forget, or for those who wish to tune the engine, switch between the 16 curves with the turn of a screwdriver.
