CHICAGO - March 20, 2016 - PRLog -- Thriller and suspense author Bryan W. Alaspa has released his second novel in his young adult series, the Elementals, with the publication of The Lord of Winter. The new novel continues the tale in the planned four-novel series, of the coming battle between humans and the offshoot of humanity known as Elementals.

"I'm very excited to be releasing this novel," said Mr. Alaspa. "It's been a little longer in coming than I had anticipated, and the demand from fans has been high. I think they'll really like the action and adventure in this one and where the story goes."

The Lord of Winter tells the tale of Robin Frost, a young Elemental who has lost control of his powers and jeopardizes the entire city of Miami. The characters of Katie Albright and Christoper Farraday from the first novel, The Lightning Weaver, head down there to help. They are pursued by the evil Johann Apasilic, who wants war between humans and Elementals, and a drug cartel who want Robin's powers for their own uses.

"It brings together a lot of elements in one slam-bang action tale," cotinued Mr. Alaspa. "Then it sets up the third novel nicely, I think."

The third planned novel of the series will be written soon and, hopefully, released in 2017 and will be called The Water Witch. The fourth novel is going to be called The Firedrake.

The Lord of Winter is available in Kindle and print formats at Amazon and Createspace. More details are avaialble at the author's website: http://www.bryanwalaspa.com/#!books/cnec
