PHOENIX - March 20, 2016 - PRLog -- Arizona Governor Douglas Ducey recently issued a proclamation for March as Women's History Month. A copy of the proclamation was presented by Barry Wong of the Governor's Office of Equal Opportunity to Nancy Sanders, president of the Phoenix Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) at the group's March meeting.

The proclamation recognized the important role that women play in advancing not only themselves but society as a whole. It also recognized a few of the "firsts" by Arizona women-first woman U.S. Supreme Court Justice, Sandra Day O'Connor; first woman state Chief Justice in the U.S., Lorna Lockwood; and first woman state legislator, Rachel Emma Allen Berry.

"We were honored to have Mr. Wong attend our meeting to present the Governor's proclamation," says Sanders. "At our meeting, we also honored many of our NAWBO past presidents from the past 30 years who were in attendance."
