GeoComm participates in first NG112 Communications Plugtest in Europe

SAINT CLOUD, Minn. - March 18, 2016 - PRLog -- St. Cloud, MN - GeoComm is happy to announce our participation in the first ever emergency communications interoperability Plugtests in Europe, 14-18 March in Sophia-Antipolis, France.

The event, organized by ETSI and EENA (the European Emergency Number Association) was designed to trial independently and jointly all components of the 112 communication chain based on NG112 networks. During the event, different items of the NG112 chain were put to the test.

GeoComm's GeoLynx Spatial Router, an EENA Next Generation 112 Long Term Definition and NENA i3-compliant ECRF/LVF and Forest Guide, was tested during the week long event.  GeoLynx Spatial Router helped facilitate the testing of participants' functional elements - and standards from 3GPP, ETSI and IETF - by providing location-based call routing for emergency calls initiated by mobile devices, apps, and wireline telephones.

We are proud our solutions were part of this event, and to have participated in this learning experience. Improving citizen access to emergency services is in our company's core mission, and we will continue to optimize our products to do just that.
