This St. Patrick's Day, MADD Canada and The Ride, the all-in-one taxi and transportation app that includes taxi e-hailing, all means of public transit and car-sharing options across the country, are urging Canadians to make no excuses and plan a safe ride home. To encourage Canadians to plan ahead and take a sober ride home after celebrations, The Ride will donate $1 to MADD Canada for every app download on March 17.

Year after year, law enforcement officers monitor the roads to prevent drunk driving, and drunk driving deaths around St.Patrick's Day. On average, four Canadians are killed and 175 are injured in preventable impaired driving incidents every day in Canada, and St. Patrick's Day is one of the more dangerous holidays given its alcohol-centred celebrations.
