NYC Joins Give Local America, the Only Nationwide Crowdfunding Event Dedicated to Community

NEW YORK - March 16, 2016 - PRLog -- New York City's nonprofit community is jumping on the chance to be a part of the nation's most exciting nationwide crowdfunding event - and it's tailored just for them!  Give Local America is entering the Big Apple, in a big way, with the launch of Give Local NYC on May 3, 2016!

Give Local NYC is 24-hours dedicated to the celebration and support of nonprofit organizations through on-line giving at Give Local NYC (www.GiveLocalNYC.org). Hundreds of nonprofit organizations are expected to join the movement that strengthens the foundation of New York City communities. On May 3rd nonprofits that work on the ground will connect with people and communities who appreciate their work and passion.

Give Local NYC is part of a national day of giving known as Give Local America (GLA). In its first year, GLA raised  $53.7 million for 7,000 nonprofits, a record-breaking program that benefitted communities across the nation. In 2015, through a partnership with over 9,000 local non-profits, Give Local America raised more than $68 million for local communities. In 2016, Give Local America hopes to engage even more nonprofit organizations and expand its fundraising efforts to reach $100 million in donations nationwide.
