AngioCalc Expands Content to Include ASPECTS Calculator

March 16, 2016 - PRLog -- AngioCalc, LLC has expanded the educational content offered on the AngioCalc.com website.  The website has been a trusted resource for the coiling of cerebral aneurysms since 2006 with a free percent packing volume calculator and educational resources.

With growing interest in ischemic stroke intervention, AngioCalc has created an interactive Alberta Stroke Program Early CT (ASPECT) Score calculator.  The calculator was developed as a reproducible grading system to assess early ischemic changes on pretreatment CT scans. Within 3 hours of MCA stroke onset, ASPECT Score correlates with the severity of NIHSS and functional outcome.

The website has also added product comparison charts which highlight unique neurovascular coils, peripheral coils, revascularization devices and stents.

There has also been increasing interest from interventional radiologists to include peripheral coil products as the same predictive models are now being applied to peripheral aneurysms.
