Follow on Google News | Invitation to contribute to staff wellbeing research studyBy: Tavistock Consulting Tavistock Consulting works with organisations to identify issues that are limiting the performance of businesses, teams and leaders. It is currently undertaking a research project focusing on wellbeing in organisations and in particular what can be done to create a productive work environment, whilst maximising wellbeing and preventing the negative mental health consequences of high stress levels. The benefits of positive mental health within the workplace have been widely documented. An Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) report published in January 2014 found that mental ill-health costs the UK economy £70bn a year - equivalent to 4.5% of GDP - through lost productivity, social benefits and healthcare payments. Having reviewed research literature on staff wellbeing at work, Tavistock Consulting is now keen to speak to organisations to learn from their experiences. Please contact Tavistock Consulting at TC@TavistockConsulting.co.uk if your organisation would be willing to have a few members of your staff interviewed (ideally one each from senior management, human resources and customer facing roles). Each interview would last approximately 30-minutes and would consist of 8-10 focus questions and the administration of a short questionnaire. Tavistock Consulting will share the findings with you in relation to your employee interviews, so that your organisation may benefit from added insight into how it might further foster staff wellbeing. For confidentiality purposes your organisation will remain anonymous in the subsequent research report.
