GREATER MANCHESTER, U.K. - March 16, 2016 - PRLog -- CONSTRUCTION of an exclusive development of homes and apartments in Prestbury Village has started on site by luxury house builder PH Homes.

The Cheadle-based developer will transform the Ford House site, a former parish building and youth club, into an exclusive development of six apartments and four houses.

The building had stood empty for almost seven years and had fallen into disrepair while former owners St Peter's Church worked to secure a buyer for the site.

Planning permission was granted in April last year for the construction of the three bedroom apartments and four bedroom semi-detached homes.

Dilapidated Ford House will be demolished and replaced with characterful new homes, sensitive to their surroundings and will complement the architecture of the existing buildings in the picturesque village.

The design and character of the original building and vernacular of the village has influenced the architecture. This combined with the use of the finest natural materials will ensure that the new building blends effortlessly into the existing street scene.

The development, which overlooks the River Bollin, will mark the beginning of an exciting new era for the site and will be a welcome addition to the village community.

Philip Hughes, Manging Director of PH Homes, said: "We are delighted to be starting work in Prestbury and beginning the transformation of the former Ford House site.

"Its future had been uncertain for a number of years and I'm pleased that PH Homes is able to reinstate this important village landmark. We have worked very carefully with our architects to design plans that will echo the character and appearance of the original Ford House and not look out of place.

"Located in the heart of the village, but on the edge of the stunning Cheshire countryside and on the banks of the River Bollin, these exquisite and carefully designed homes will be the perfect addition to Prestbury Village."

Construction is expected to take 18 months to complete, with the first residents set to move into their new homes in August next year.

The six apartments and four houses are being marketed by Holmes Naden Estate Agents. The apartments are available from £595,000 to £825,000 and the houses from £695,000 to £995,000. For more information visit www.phph.co.uk.
