NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - March 15, 2016 - PRLog -- HomeAid America, a building industry charity and one of the nation's largest builders of housing for the homeless, was for the third year in a row be the beneficiary of the generosity of Meyers Research, one of its top national partners and leading market research firms, at Meyers' Southern California Housing Forecast that was held in Newport Beach on March 9th.  The event raised nearly $40,000 for the charity.

The event, called "Housing Market Outlook: A Builder and Capital Perspective" was a high-level building industry event with nearly 200 in attendance.   Proceeds were generated by ticket sales and sponsorships, led by presenting sponsor imortgage and its parent company loanDepot.  "imortgage and loanDepot are proud sponsors of HomeAid and the truly amazing  work it does in our communities as one of the largest provider of homeless shelters in America," said Dan Hanson, EVP of National Production for imortgage, a division of loanDepot and veteran board member of HomeAid.

The event featured industry leaders as panelists including:

Builder Panel:  Bert Selva, President and CEO of Shea Homes, Frank Suryan, Chairman and CEO at Lyon Living, and Jeff Roos, Regional President at Lennar Homes of California.

Capital Panel: Dan Hanson, EVP National Production at imortgage, Connie Emmitt-Sterns, EVP of Investments at Resmark Companies, and Tom Orradre, Managing Partner at Isles Ranch Partners.

Attendees also got a comprehensive economic overview from Meyers Research Chief Economist Kevin Gillen, PhD.

Meyers Research, a Kennedy Wilson Company, has been holding housing forecast events to benefit HomeAid America across the country for the past three years, and after this, their seventh such event, has now raised over $250,000 for HomeAid.  Jeff Meyers, President of Meyers Research and HomeAid America Board member said, "HomeAid is an important industry-based cause whose sole mission to help homeless families and individuals rebuild their lives.  I am honored to be part of this effort to provide housing for the homeless."
