My name is Dr. Abhay Kumar Pati, CEO of Best Nutrition Products Inc, USA and Biotechayur Pvt. Ltd.  I studied an Integrated medicine and trained in both western medical science and the Ayurvedic traditional medicine of India. An ex-student of J.B Roy State Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, which was founded by Jamini Bhusan Roy, in 1915. This 100 years old premier Institution founded by Mahatama Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel  in Ayurvedic medicine is also known as Asthanga Ayurvedic College in Kolkata, India.

During my travels, I always search for medicinal plants used in nutritional and functional food.  Today, we call it engineered food.  Many health problems could be alleviated with Chinese or Indian indigenous medicine.
Perhaps many people are not aware that 75% to 80% of drugs are derived from medicinal plants,  particularly from Indian Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine.   What we see in modern medicine and life saving drugs like morphine, dopamine, digitalis, reserpine, the original source is from organic  medicinal plants from India.  Even aspirin was isolated from Chinese medicinal plant called Yellow Bark.  Over 70 years ago, India received its independence.  Until now, India still has not discovered a single drug.  .

Presently, many Ayurvedic  single medicinal plants and its isolated compound, such as Ashwagandha, Gugul, Gotu Kola, Neem, Curcumin (turmeric or haldi), pssyllium (isabgul), Basil (tulsi),  Gymnema (gurmari), moringa, Garcinia, bitter melon (karela) and countless organic herbal compound of Ayurvedic medicine and its market in USA and Europe, is rapidly growing . Yoga is the part of   Ayurveda  which has a global market over 15 Billion Dollars now.
However, the analytical validated lab reports of Ayurvedic products are not available in India. There is no proven standardization of Ayurvedic medicine at all. The lack of validity guarantee for consumers and professional are not available. That is why Ayurvedic science, ayurvedic medicine and its demand in western  countries are questionable?
Many Ayurvedic compound, particularly mineral, metal or bhasmas contain a high percentage of heavy metals, such as mercury, arsenic,  cadmium etc. Those could damage the kidneys and liver same as chemically synthesized drugs.    It is necessary  that Ayurvedic products containing plants and  bhasmas have no proper  validation of analytical, heavy metal  &  microbial properties  tests in India.
Unfortunately, most of the analytical labs do not have the equipment - particularly ICPMS (inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry) , which is an expensive and sensitive instrument, Many labs are doing analytical report on MOU basis in India on  paper and pencil for various States AYUSH Department  rather than using  chromatographic photo spectrometers. Equipment like HPLC, LCMS, GCMS, ICPMS are very costly and  trained  chemists are not available, .
Our agricultural lands are very filled with mercury, arsenic, sulfur and lead.   Consequently,  vegetables and fruit grown on those lands are contaminated and detrimental for our health.  When consumed, contaminated fruit, vegetable can contribute to damaged liver and kidneys etc.    Proper food, diet, nutrition, and exercise (including yoga) are the best in the prevention of diseases.   The end result of not taking care of our health will be trips to the hospital or the emergency room, which is most expensive five star hotels in the world.
