Fifty years after inception, Goodwill remains strongly committed to its mission of serving people with disabilities and disadvantages by providing life-changing opportunities to achieve independence. Last year, the organization served over 42,000 individuals across Lee, Charlotte, Collier, Hendry, and Glades counties. "This organization has touched so many lives in Southwest Florida," says Goodwill spokesperson Madison Mitchell. "We look forward to sharing the memories made." Goodwill encourages residents to submit memories of finding a treasured item in one of Goodwill's Retail & Donation Centers, graduating from one of the organization's many programs, or attending a special event. Memories may be sent to MadisonMitchell@ Sponsorships for Goodwill's 50th anniversary year are also still available. Opportunities range from $100 to $20,000 and, depending on the level, receive recognition at the Fashion Through the Decades event, Goodwill Golf Classic, and the tenth annual Festival of Trees.
