Successful African American Woman Racially Profiled At A Popular Dallas, Texas Retail Store

DALLAS - March 12, 2016 - PRLog -- Our client Mrs. Arnita Johnson-Hall of AMB Credit Consultants, LLC went into the Z Gallerie store at Knox and Henderson in Dallas, Texas on February 27, 2016, to purchase a $1,000 gift card. Although the purchase was promptly approved by the bank that issued Z Gallerie's credit card, Johnson-Hall was falsely informed that it had been declined. Subsequent to the approval of Johnson-Hall's purchase and contrary to standard (retailing) protocol, Z Gallerie made 2 (additional) security calls to the credit card company in an attempt to confirm Johnson-Hall's identity. At this time, Z Gallerie falsely informed our client that her purchase had been declined due to "suspicious activity". They did so without providing any information on the suspicious activity being referenced.

Johnson-Hall, in subsequent conversation with the district manager for Z Gallerie, requested a public apology and recommended credit policy and procedural changes that Z Gallerie could implement. On March 4th via Facebook, Z Gallerie released a statement addressing the incident without offering our client an apology.

As of 1:25 pm CST yesterday, Z Gallerie's attorneys indicated that the company will not issue public apology or make a small charitable donation. These were the only terms requested by Johnson-Hall to fully resolve the matter as it now stands. Consequently, our client intends to seek resolution via other legal means.
