South Cooperative Theater presents Disney's The Lion King Jr

ANDOVER, Mass. - March 11, 2016 - PRLog -- Looking for a fun time for the family? Embark on an extraordinary coming-of-age adventure as Simba, a lion cub who cannot wait to be king, searches for his destiny in the great "Circle of Life."

Join the South School Cooperative Theater as they perform Disney's The Lion King Jr., based on the Disney film and Broadway production directed by Julie Taymor. The cast includes 62 third, fourth and fifth graders from South Elementary School, Andover, MA, who have been diligently rehearsing since December.

The SCT production is lead by artistic director Beth Kennedy and drama team Charles Gracy, Melissa Nussbaum, Sherril Tjalsma and Joellen Defeo. Rounding out the team are music director Amanda Potts and choreographers Beth Kennedy and Crystal O'Keefe. Be sure not to miss this royal treat to feel the joy, feel the thrill, and feel alive!

Performances take place on March 11th, 12th and 13th at West Middle School, Andover, MA (7:00 pm Friday and Saturday and 1:00 pm Sunday). All seats are general admission and tickets are on sale for $10 each at Learning Express and at the door.

Lion King Jr. is presented by special arrangement with Music Theater International.
