YDSC | Sea Islands Launches Website for Democrats in Colleton, Hampton, Jasper, & Beaufort Counties

BEAUFORT, S.C. - March 10, 2016 - PRLog -- The Sea Islands Regional Chapter of the Young Democrats of South Carolina is proud to announce the launch of their new website, located at www.youngdemssi.org.

The new site features a variety of resources that can help young people across Colleton, Hampton, Jasper, and Beaufort Counties improve the health and welfare of their local communities through peaceful reform and effective government. For example, it provides information on how young people can register to vote or obtain absentee ballots. This includes specific information for young people who are disabled, in the military, or speak Spanish.

The new site also provides a platform for young democrats to make their voices heard on contemporary political, economic, social, and environmental issues across the Lowcountry. For example, its blog will allow young people to share their perspectives on issues impacting their local communities.

"Our goal was to provide young people in the Sea Islands Region with a user-friendly site that is easy to navigate and localized to meet their needs," said Michael Edward Walsh, the Sea Islands Region Chair at Young Democrats of South Carolina. "That is why we did a complete redesign of not only the site but also of our brand. We wanted to present young people across Colleton, Hampton, Jasper, and Beaufort Counties with more than just a website. We wanted to provide them with a shared identity."
