Sarah Packiam Releases New Single "Lonely Lady"

MIAMI - March 10, 2016 - PRLog -- Hot on the success of her third and most recent album, "Again" and a whirlwind international tour through Europe, Latin America and the U.S., Irish singer, songwriter and musical artist Sarah Packiam is back in the studio recording.  The multi-talented rising star is releasing a new single, "Lonely Lady", on March 11 to be followed by a one-take live performance recorded spontaneously in Los Angeles at world famous Venice Beach. A full production music video is next. Both the live performance and music video are being filmed by noted Parisian director David Dang.

"Lonely Lady" easily demonstrates why Band Press predicts Sarah will be the "next Irish superstar" and why Florida critics refer to her as, "the best up-and-coming female vocalist in South Florida." Not only does she give exciting, lovely vocal expression to her musical creations and lyric compositions, she provides acoustic accompaniment. On the self-penned track "Lonely Lady", you hear Sarah playing her usual guitar accompaniment and also experimenting with other instruments that have captured her imagination: the accordion and the tin whistle---an instrument from her Irish roots that is also called aflageolet or Irish whistle.

Adding to the sound of "Lonely Lady" is Grammy winning percussionist Richard Bravo, percussionist for Barry Gibbs of the BeeG's.  "What fun watching Richard choose all the diverse percussion instruments he has collected from around the world to use on this track," says Sarah. "This was totally in tune with my mixed ethnicity, with roots in both India and Ireland, and now the U.S."

A true citizen of the world, Sarah was influenced by her father, a blues musician from India who first inspired her to perform. By the age of 18, she had moved to Spain and performing regularly in lounges and nightclubs with the family band.  She was discovered by American singer and songwriter Jon Secada who became a fan, and a mentor. He directed her to Miami to co-write and work with Grammy Award winning producer Tim Mitchell.

Her new single, "Lonely Lady" continues her association with top names in the industry; it was produced by Grammy winning producer Tim Mitchell, and mixed by Grammy winning engineer Dave Clauss.
