West Michigan Resort, Buzz's Lakeside Inn, Names Paul Toepp General Manager

MUSKEGON, Mich. - March 10, 2016 - PRLog -- Hospitality veteran Paul Toepp has been named general manager of Buzz's Lakeside Inn, the historic family resort and restaurant north of Muskegon on White Lake, near Lake Michigan. He will oversee resort operations including staffing, dining and lodging, in addition to special events, community relations and marketing for the seasonal destination.

Toepp brings extensive hospitality experience to the post, having managed properties in Michigan and on the East Coast. Most recently he directed food and beverage operations for the Heathers Club, a private golf club in Bloomfield Hills, Mich. As general manager of Mackinac Island's Stonecliffe Inn he worked with the city's tourism office to create unique events and increase revenues. He also managed the popular New York restaurant in Harbor Springs. Out east, he directed restaurant operations for the four-star Galley Beach/Cliffside Beach Club & Hotel on Nantucket, the island's Great Harbor Yacht Club and the iconic Harbor View Hotel & Resort on Martha's Vineyard. He also served as director of outlets for the Hilton/Doubletree Inn in Bedford Glen, Mass.

A self-described "life student of the hospitality industry," Toepp possesses deep knowledge of food, wine, fine dining, training and staff development. The Birmingham, Mich. native also worked previously as a realtor.

"We're excited to welcome Paul, with his considerable expertise, but also because he's a great fit for the friendly, customer-focused experience that Buzz's Lakeside Inn is known for," says owner Buzz Kaehler, who purchased the property with his wife Nan in 2013.

Built in the late 1800s and recently renovated by the new owners, Buzz's Lakeside Inn combines nostalgic charm with modern amenities. Situated on 365 feet of shoreline on beautiful White Lake and close to Lake Michigan beaches, the five-acre property features completely refurbished main lodge, cottage and apartment accommodations, in addition to a restaurant known for its regional American cuisine, quality wines, craft beers and excellent lake views. Guests can enjoy fishing, hiking, biking, swimming in a heated pool, paddle boards, sailing and pickleball, along with golf privileges at the nearby White Lake Golf Club.
