Bayside Announces Live Music Line-up

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - March 10, 2016 - PRLog -- Bayside, the critically acclaimed restaurant in Newport Beach, has announced its live music line-up offered nightly and during Sunday brunch.

“There aren’t many live music venues in Orange County and fewer that offer a stellar dining experience to go along with it,” said owner Marc Ghoukassian, a music lover himself.  “In addition to serving petite portions of our entrees, we offer extensive offerings on our bar menu, a wide variety of hand-crafted cocktails, many wines by the glass and a number of domestic and import beers.”

Bayside’s live music line-up:

Mondays – Wednesdays

(6:30 -10:30 p.m.)  -- Pianist Jimmy Felber, who has accompanied Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder and Al Jarreau, to name just a few, shares his Motown roots with lively solo performances.

Thursdays:

(6:30 - 10:30 p.m.) – Veteran musicians Ron Kobayashi and saxophonist Jerry Mandel (member of the National Advisory Board for Jazz at Lincoln Center) perform everything from contemporary jazz, standards, R&B, swing music and more for those who wish to start their weekends early.

Fridays:

(6:30 - 10:30 p.m.) -- Kobayashi, who has performed before President Bill Clinton and on the “CBS Evening News,” keeps things fresh by inviting a rotating trio of guest artists to perform with him.

(10:30 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.)  -- Jazz Jam Session follows with Ron Kobayashi and local guests performers

Saturdays:

(7 – 11 p.m.) – Vocalist Andrea Miller's hypnotic voice offers a soulful and sensual interpretation to jazz and contemporary standards. In addition to opening for Al Jarreau often, including at the 2015 Newport Beach Jazz Festival, her music is often featured on national jazz radio station KJAZZ 88.1

Sundays:

(11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.) – Those enjoying Sunday brunch will be treated to a rotating schedule of performers including acoustic guitarists Michael Keeth and Michael Edward.

(6 – 10 p.m.) -- Vocalist Andrea Miller interprets popular jazz and contemporary standards.
