“I’ve been speaking with many citizens and we all agree that the future is bright and full of potential for Volusia County”, said Heather. “We need to focus on decisions that result in good jobs and decent wages, good schools and quality of life,” she added.
Heather will hold a meet and greet March 15th at 5:30pm at Zappi’s Italian Garden, located at 128 South Beach St. Daytona Beach. The public is invited to meet Heather in person and find out more about her positions on local issues.
Heather has gained valuable lessons from the struggles of being on her own since she was 14.
She has a distinguished past career as a police officer and detective, spanning the course of two decades, and has been involved in politics since the early 1990’s. In the last few years, Heather has built two businesses from the ground up and currently provides national audiences with instruction and keynotes on topics like body language, professionalism and situational awareness through The Heather Post Company. Her clients include Fortune 500 companies, law enforcement agencies, and international organizations. She is also writing two books.
As an award-winning speaker and instructor, she has been featured numerous times in the national media for her expertise and achievements, to include being named Small Business of the Year in her first year of business and being highlighted as an American Success Story on FOX Business Network.
Heather serves as a platform and raises awareness for a long list of causes and charities in the community, to include her current and past board member roles within such organizations like the Junior League of Daytona Beach, the United Way Women’s Initiative and the PACE Center.
Her husband is a Deputy Sheriff with the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office and is in charge of all firearms and tactical training within the training division there. She has also raised an amazing daughter who is pursuing her college engineering degree at the University of Florida.
