Arts Council of England Launches New Grant Management System Built on CSDC’s Grantium Platform

March 9, 2016 - PRLog -- The Arts Council of England [ACE] launched a new web-based grants management system built on CSDC’s Grantium platform.

This new system is helping ACE significantly improve its funding relationships with artists and organisations through the enhanced administration and management of grants it provides while generating approximately £1 million in operational savings annually for the Arts Council England. The Grantium system will now be able to manage the entire application and review process online, making the process markedly more efficient and transparent. Grantium is a key component in the £70 million awarded to individuals and organisations, as part of the GftA funding programme.

Grants for the Arts (GftA) is the first of several grants programs that will be migrated onto Grantium. The GftA program awards range from £1,000 to £100,000 and supports a wide variety of arts-related activities, from dance to visual arts, literature to theatre, music to combined arts. The next program area slated to move into Grantium is the National Portfolio Organisations (NPO) while planning for the remaining program areas underway.

To facilitate improved client service and to simplify the transition to using the new grants management software (Grantium), ACE has made a series of How-To videos. These videos are available via ACE’s website or on YouTube and cover topics such as how to create and manage profiles, accounts, and applications.

Grantium http://www.csdcsystems.com/en/platform/grantium/ is a major piece in the jigsaw that supports the Arts Council’s work. Behind the scenes, we’ve already replaced our finance system, and with Grantium, we’ll now save around £1 million each year; money that we will re-use to invest directly in arts and culture. But it’s not just about saving money. Grantium will help to bring us into the 21st Century.

One word that keeps coming up from the organisations we tested the system with is intuitive. We’re hoping that all our applicants will find it an improvement to the way we work with the sector.

In 2012, ACE learned they would be required to make reductions of up to 50% to their operational and administrative costs while continuing to serve the cultural sector. After a rigorous search, ACE chose to collaborate with CSDC Systems and implement their Grantium application as part of their cost reduction and operational efficiency improvements strategy. CSDC is now also an authorised vendor to the UK government through their Digital Marketplace.
