Follow on Google News | On This International Women’s Day, Have We Done Enough for Women Globally?Yours Humanly celebrates International Women’s Day by donating 100 percent of the contributions it receives in February and March to pay for girl’s K-12 schooling costs, to include tuition, books, school supplies, and uniforms.
By: Yours Humanly Even in 2016, millions of girls have no access to education, leaving them vulnerable to illiteracy and poverty. They are forced to forfeit their identifications, which makes formal training or education impossible. Some are married off to men against their will, getting trapped by unfair patriarchies. As a result, there are still millions of girls who are limited to only doing housework and raising children, with little opportunity to develop independence. To help underprivileged girls get an education, Yours Humanly is donating 100 percent of contributions in February and March to fund girl’s schooling costs, including tuition, books, school supplies, and uniforms to K-12 students in underserved communities worldwide. The funding will give young girls access to education, empowering them to overcome challenges in their respective communities. “As women are expanding their influence on society in first-world countries, women and girls in other regions of the world are still neglected the right of education. With these donations, we want to empower women and expand their roles globally,” says Sunny Singh, Executive Director of Yours Humanly. https://www.youtube.com/ About Yours Humanly We believe that education is a basic human right. We are dedicated to empowering the world’s most vulnerable children through access to education. Through our work, we are educating underprivileged children in the United States and abroad in countries such as Cambodia, India, Nepal, and the Philippines. By doing so, we are helping children work toward a better, brighter future and rise above the vicious cycle of poverty, child labor, child trafficking, and prostitution. Children, by nature, are eager to learn—the extent of their education shouldn’t be defined by wealth or position in society, but rather by their passion for learning. Our beliefs are reflected in our Mission and Vision statements, which give us clear directions in which to focus our efforts and resources. Our mission is to empower the world’s most vulnerable children through access to education, and instill within them a sense of pride, confidence, and freedom for life. Our vision is to help create a world where all children, regardless of age, gender, race, color, ethnicity, caste, religion, national origin, and physical, mental or financial ability, have a fair chance to receive a quality education at a credible educational institution. Education is a basic human right, and every child everywhere should be afforded that right in a safe and nurturing environment. https://www.yourshumanly.org For more information, please email media(at)yourshumanly( End
