Seven GODWIN PC Attorneys Named to 2016 Texas Rising Stars

DALLAS - March 7, 2016 - PRLog -- Seven attorneys from the Dallas and Houston offices of noted trial and appellate law firm GODWIN PC have been recognized on the 2016 list of Texas Rising Stars. Named by legal industry publishing leader, Thomson Reuters, The Texas Rising Stars award recognizes the top young lawyers in the state.

From the Firm’s Dallas office, Shareholders Israel Silvas and Ira Bowman and Senior Attorneys Alison Battiste, Laci Bowman and Stefanie McGregor  were honored.  Representing the Firm’s Houston office, Shareholder Misty Hataway Coné and Associate Adam Curley received Texas Rising Stars accolades.

For Appellate Attorney and Houston Administrative Shareholder, Misty Hataway-Coné, 2016 marked the eighth time that she has been recognized among  the state's finest young attorneys. GODWIN PC Shareholders Ira Bowman and Israel Silvas, as well as Senior Attorney Stefanie McGregor, earned Rising Stars recognition for the fifth time based on the strength of their Business Litigation practice.

Houston's Adam Curley was honored for the third time for his work in Commercial Litigation, while Senior Attorney Alison Battiste received Rising Stars honors for the second time in this area. In the GODWIN PC Family Law practice, Senior Attorney Laci Bowman was honored for the fourth consecutive year.

Thomson Reuters’ legal division publishes the Texas Rising Stars list annually. Texas Rising Stars recognizes the state’s foremost lawyers who are under the age of 40, who have been practicing law less than 10 years, or both. After peer nominations and extensive review, only 2.5 percent of all attorneys are selected to the final list of Texas Rising Stars.
