Follow on Google News | Patrick Scott Patterson resigns from RETRO MagazineVeteran video gamer had been part of magazine staff since 2013 debut
By: PatrickScottPatterson.com Patterson was one of the few RETRO staff members that had been part of the publication since it debuted in late 2013. Last year, he debuted a regular column in the magazine where he discussed various video game issues in the character of the publication's "commissioner" Kennedy's Coleco Chameleon console has been the focus of controversy in recent weeks, with ample evidence to suggest that publicly shown prototypes of the product are not what they seem. While Patterson had no involvement with the console, he felt he had no choice but to exit the publication under the current circumstances. "I'm forever grateful for the opportunity to be part of RETRO for all this time," Patterson said. "However, given what appears to be going on with the Coleco Chameleon, I felt the need to end my relationship with the publisher on principle. I was no more satisfied with the answers to my direct questions about the product than the public has been with theirs. I wish the best for all those still associated with the magazine." The magazine's managing editor also resigned days later. Patterson remains part of a number of other gaming media outlets and is attached as Producer for an upcoming video game documentary film. He is also set to announce more information about two projects of his own in the coming weeks. End
