Introduction
: IBPS   have been conducting common written tests and common interviews for the purpose of selection of suitable candidates regarding the vacancies related to the position of clerks and PO in the nationalized banks which follow its platform. The recruitment platform the IBPS provides is highly reliable and has been approved by the IBA (Indian Banks’ Association) and the government of India. There are 20 banks, which have been following and accepting the results of the recruitment process conducted by the IBPS. A few changes have been introduced by the IBPS for the selection procedures of clerks in these nationalized banks in order to reduce the level of confusion that may possible occur in the process.
   The various eligibility criteria required to be eligible for appearing in the IBPS selection procedure are as follows:

Indian Citizenship: The candidates should have Indian citizenship to be eligible.

Lower and Upper Age Limit: The age range that has been defined for the process is 20 years – 28 years.

Upper Age Limit Relaxations: The upper age limit relaxations for the reservation categories as per the policies of the government are: SC/ST candidates – up to 5 years, OBC candidates – up to 3 years, PWD candidates – up to10 years, Ex-Servicemen or Disabled Ex-Servicemen – up to 3 years and 8 years respectively, Widows / Divorced Women – up to 9 years, People with domicile of Jammu and Kashmir from 1-1-80 to 31-12-89 – up to 5 years, Victims of 1984 riots – up to 5 years, and Regular Employees of Union Carbide Factory, Bhopal – up to 5 years.

Educational Qualifications
A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.
