The Arc of Illinois Launches New Illinois Life Span Site Redesign

FRANKFORT, Ill. - March 7, 2016 - PRLog -- Illinois Life Span has just unveiled their new interactive website at www.illinoislifespan.org, updating the services of this Arc of Illinois program. Since 2001 Illinois Life Span has been serving people with developmental and intellectual disabilities, providing information and resources on advocacy, supports, and services.

The updated website features text in both English and Spanish, with contact information by county for disability specific resources and an extensive list of statewide resources. An “advocacy toolbox”, important school and transition resources, and a Links section organized by category help individuals with disabilities and their families to navigate the Illinois disability system.

Deb Fornoff of The Arc of Illinois explained their mission at Illinois Life Span and what led to their new site design, saying, “Illinois Life Span was 'built' in 2001 to meet the need for information and resources about advocacy, services, and supports available to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Illinois. At that time, information available on the Internet as well as access to the Internet was much different than it is today.”

“Taking advantage of the information available on the internet allows us to focus more narrowly on providing the resources people need most frequently in a format that is simple, easy to use, and easy to manage,” Fornoff added. “Working with Launch Digital Marketing was a great experience, and I love the end result. I can’t wait to hear what people think when they use it.”
