Ramon Adolfo ‘El Perro Guapo’ de la Garza Sanchez rose from the coyote who delivered Duarte’s mother across the border - where she was a political refugee from El Salvador forced to flee when her cousin, Jose Napoleon Duarte, heir to the presidency, was exiled to Venezuela - to the cartel’s enforcer and finally ‘el jefe.’

Inspired by actual events, Kettle of Vultures is the result of the author’s imagination based on the premise that the President of El Salvador had a second-cousin who worked as his secretary. The story walks us through the Detective Nate Duarte’s rescue from Mexico as a child, his obsession to avenge his mother and his commitment to justice. He’s a powerful character and is poised to be a fantastic hero in future novels.
