By: Sound Unity Entertainment The two linked up in 2011 at Alchemist’s studio in L.A. Twins had recently moved there from Queensbridge to start the next chapter of his career, and he ran into Twiz who was working with Evidence. “I remember that day,” Twiz says. “All four of us had Ev's Beatles masks on and were clownin’, pretending to be John, Paul, Ringo and George.” From there, Twiz and Twins stayed in touch (they lived a few blocks from each other) and first collaborated on the rapper’s Thrive 1 mixtape. Twins says the basis for TNT began as a solo project, however once they realized how well they work together, it bloomed into a group effort. “I had been a big fan of his (Twins’) music throughout the years,” Twiz explains. “I knew I had some stuff in the stash for him, so for me it was a no brainer.” And funny enough, it was Evidence and Alchemist who coined Twiz and Twins’ group name, TNT. It’s a fitting title given the explosive nature of their album, which slaps listeners upside the head immediately with the grimy, Ras Kass-featured opener, “Bobby Flay.” From there, Twins and Twiz explore various soundscapes and themes, including the darker parts of the gangster life (“Paranoid”) The album also features a noteworthy guest lineup, which includes Ras Kass, Gibby, Prodigy, Tri-State, Killer Ben, Godfather Pt. III (of Infamous Mobb), Evidence, Alchemist, Co$$, and LMNO. They’re all fitting complements to both elements of TNT: Twins’ no-bullsh*t, gruff raps and Twiz’s intricate sample flips and hard-hitting drums. Together, they’ve made one of the toughest albums of the year. TNT becomes available through all digital retailers, and wherever music can be streamed, on April 1st, via Sound Unity Entertainment, an independent label based in Los Angeles and headed by DJ B.Original. TNT is now available for pre-order exclusively through iTunes. Tracklist: 01. The Beginning (Intro) 02. Bobby Flay (feat. Ras Kass) 03. Rap Star 04. Cola Cash Stank (feat. Gibby) 05.
