DENVER - March 4, 2016 - PRLog -- Denver Comic Con (DCC), Denver’s largest consumer convention and a program of education nonprofit Pop Culture Classroom (PCC), today announced actor
Karl Urban will attend the June 17 – 19, 2016 event at the Colorado Convention Center.

Urban is best known for his film work as Dr. Leonard “Bones” McCoy from the J.J. Abrams-directed Star Trek films, Éomer in The Lord of the Rings franchise, Judge Dredd in “Dredd” as well as for his work in the Riddick movies, and on the small screen in “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys,” “Xena: Princess Warrior,” and FOX’s “Almost Human.”

“Karl possesses a ton of Geek Cred,” said Denver Comic Con director Christina Angel. “From films to television and sci-fi to fantasy, he’s covered all the bases. Denver Comic Con is privileged to bring him to town.”

Urban joins previously announced guests in the 2016 Denver Comic Con lineup, including Stan Lee (Marvel Comics), Carrie Fisher (Star Wars), Ralph Macchio (Karate Kid and The Outsiders), C. Thomas Howell (The Outsiders), Jenna Coleman and Alex Kingston (Doctor Who), among many other comic book creators and pop culture celebrities.

Denver Comic Con has quickly become one of the most attended pop culture conventions in America. The popularity is due in part because of its robust schedule of programming—more than 400 hours of sessions during which artists, creators,
celebrities and industry experts talk about their craft and their creations—as well as its family-friendly mission and environment. The largest portion of the show floor, more than 9,000 sq. ft., is dedicated to teens and children with
activities designed to engage kids in education through pop culture.
