Rush Commercial Plans For Growth, Welcomes News Hires & Promotes Key Staff

GIG HARBOR, Wash. - March 1, 2016 - PRLog -- Rush Commercial, one of the six core businesses at The Rush Companies, has increased its team and promoted one well-deserving team member.

“Rush Commercial is currently identifying essential strategic priorities for greater agility when markets begin to slide.” said Vice President Devin Page. “We are diversifying risk by growing new business geographically and increasing our non-residential backlog.”

Christopher Rawlins, Project Manager, comes to the company from J.R. Abbott Construction, where he gained expertise in medical construction and renovation in occupied facilities. He also has a background in medical, retail and multifamily. Chris is currently managing multiple projects, including The Grand, a mid-rise apartment project located in Tacoma at the corner of 4th and Broadway, which includes 139 apartment units with two levels of parking, making up 155 parking spaces.

Larry Hutchinson, Senior Project Manager, joined Rush Commercial from General Management & Development Inc. and Lease Crutcher Lewis. He has a breadth of experience in estimating and preconstruction in commercial projects. Larry is currently managing a large multifamily project in Lacey.

Aaron Wells, Carpenter, has joined Rush Commercial as a skilled carpenter with years of experience in the Puget Sound.

Tim Callahan was recently promoted from Senior Project Engineer to Project Manager. He is currently working on The Origin, an apartment project being developed in the Lake City neighborhood of Seattle for SummerHill Apartment Communities.  Located at 12311 32nd Ave. NE, the seven-story project consists of 153 one and two-bedroom units along with nine live/work units.
