First Annual Arizona Black History Banquet Ball

PHOENIX - Feb. 26, 2016 - PRLog -- Up Next Entertainment will be closing out Black History Month with an extraordinary event, Arizona Black History Banquet Ball on February 27, 2016.

“We want to make sure that these kids understand that we are proud of them and that their hard work is not being overlooked,” said Zelmer Hagler.

This event will honor nine male students who has demonstrated exemplary academic performance by presenting them with scholarships and public recognition and prominent Valley Physician, DR. Wooton.

The Arizona Black History Banquet Ball will also feature three guest speakers: Chanta Foster, DR Andre E. Matthews, and Senator Leah Landrum Taylor.  Chanta Foster appeared on the popular TV reality show “Love & Hip-Hop” and is the Editor of Sister2Sister Magazine, DR. Andre E.

Matthews is an orthopedic surgeon based in Mesa, AZ, and Senator Leah Landrum Taylor was elected into office in Oct. 2013.

This is a formal event with a strictly enforced dress code (Tuxedo and Ballroom Gown) that will also include a dinner, dancing, and live performances by Next and Lucius Parr & Street Life.  Also, there will be several celebrity special guests in attendance.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to a non-profit youth organization, The Flock Ministries.  This is definitely an event that will be remembered.  It will take place February 27, 2016 at 7pm.  The location will be at the Arizona Grand Resort & Spa (8000 Arizona Grand PKWY Phoenix, AZ 85044.  Those with further questions regarding this event is urged to call 949-432-NEXT.
