Follow on Google News | Meet the New Executive Director of the Governor’s School for the Arts Foundation, Tim McClainTimothy McClain has been named Executive Director of the Governor’s School for the Arts (GSA) Foundation in Greenville, S.C.
By: S.C. Governor’s School for the Arts & Humanities Mr. McClain comes to the GSA Foundation from Mars Hill University, where he served as the school’s Director of Development and Campaign Director. With over 16 years’ experience in fundraising and development for higher education, Mr. McClain will be responsible for increasing the Foundation’s revenues and endowment assets by expanding its reach to individual and corporate donors while strengthening ties to alumni and the communities served throughout the state. “Now is a pivotal time to in the history of the of the Governor’s School for the Arts Foundation,” After earning a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources from the Geneva College, Mr. McClain served 11 years in the United States Air Force. In subsequent positions at Asheville School, UNC Asheville, and Penn State University, Mr. McClain was responsible for development, marketing, fiscal oversight, and strategic planning. After 12 years working Asheville, North Carolina, he will relocate to Greenville. Mr. McClain has served with the Council for the Support of Education, the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning, and the North Carolina Planned Giving Council. About the S.C. Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities The South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities is a public residential high school located in Greenville, South Carolina, providing a unique arts and academic education to emerging artists from across the state.
