Panelists will offer their perspectives on growth opportunities in China, now the largest economy in the world adjusted for purchasing power. “Domestic companies have to re-think their strategies as China’s economy shifts from low-end manufacturing to meaningful innovation,” The rise of the middle class in China, an increase in native as well as international venture capital and private equity firms pouring funds into Chinese enterprises, and a planned economy that is putting resources into specific areas of growth are all part of China’s attempt to create a more balanced economy. As a member of the panel on this exciting topic, Tom Manning will explore how these complex changes will impact not only China, but the United States and the global economy as a whole. “Meaningful success in business requires a look beyond the U.S. border,” said Manning, “and savvy CEOs understand that.
