Sukumar Chatterjee is a multi-faceted individual - a scientist, an academician, a sports-person, an actor, a writer, and a story teller. Born in Kolkata, he obtained his school and college education at Ahmednagar in the state of Maharashtra. The job of a scientist took him to New Delhi where he stayed put until his retirement and then shifted to Gurgaon. He shifted again and now lives in Bengaluru.

During his professional career, Sukumar Chatterjee wrote profusely on matters scientific. But the urge to write novels kept simmering within. It found an outlet after he retired. Now he devotes all his time in writing and is enjoying himself doing that. Sukumar Chatterjee’s first book, which was a collection of four short stories, was much appreciated.
