Narvitas Medical Devices International Limited Announces CE Mark and Commercialisation of its Proprietary LapDome Device

LONDON - Feb. 25, 2016 - PRLog -- Narvitas Medical Devices International Limited, a UK-based International medical device company, today announced that CE Mark has been granted for its proprietary LapDome Laparoscopic Surgical Access device. LapDome is the first commercial device designed to reduce laparoscopic surgical access times and reduce access related complications.

The LapDome Laparoscopic Surgical Access device is the first device of its kind to be made available to the laparoscopic surgical community. Through its unique usage of its dome shape, negative pressure, and its proprietary fustoconical port, LapDome creates a temporary pneumoperitoneum space through which a surgeon can safely position a Veress needle to inflate the abdomen for surgery. The current standards of care for access to the abdomen, both the Veress and Hasson's technique, are labour and time intensive with both carrying high complication rates.

LapDome provides a current unsurpassed level of safety and efficacy within laparoscopic surgical access.
