Mount Dora Spring Collectibles and Crafts Show premieres new dates

MOUNT DORA, Fla. - Feb. 25, 2016 - PRLog -- Join Visit Mount Dora™ as the downtown Mount Dora, FL streets come alive with antiques, collectibles, arts and crafts with over 250 exhibitors setting up this year on March 19 & 20, 2016.

Janet Gamache, the Mount Dora Spring Show event coordinator, says, "Due to a conflict with Easter weekend in 2016, the Visit Mount Dora board made the decision to move the show dates to the weekend before and then permanently move the show dates to the 3rd weekend of March each year.“

The Mount Dora Spring Collectibles and Crafts Show (formerly the Mount Dora Antiques Fair) will be larger than ever before. The event has grown to include three additional streets full of exhibitors since 2014.

Since taking over the coordination of the event in 2012, the Mount Dora Spring Show has evolved from an antique show of around 50 vendors, some on blankets or tarps in the streets, to a fun, eclectic festival with music, food and a little something for everyone. “It features fantastic artists and fine crafters that are part of our juried Fall Craft Fair, mixed in with collectibles dealers with treasures that visitors look forward to hunting through every year," says Gamache.

Another new feature of the show that has proven to be popular among visitors is the ability to purchase beer, wine and now cocktails at the event. "Visitors will be allowed to purchase an alcoholic beverage at an event kiosk and walk around the event area without having to stay in a confined area. We want folks to come out, relax, enjoy the festival and linger," says Brian Young, the event committee chairman.

The Mount Dora Spring Collectibles and Crafts show is a fun, family friendly two-day, open-air event.

A free shuttle will be provided at the Mount Dora High School at 700 N. Highland St. Only service dogs are allowed at the event.
