Real Living Northwest Realtors First to Offer Snapchat GeoFilters at All Open Houses

BOTHELL, Wash. - Feb. 23, 2016 - PRLog -- Snapchat is one of the fastest growing social media platforms in the world.  According to Snapchat there are over 7 billion views per day.  60% of their users are 18-34.  Recently they announced a way to connect to those users.  It's called GeoFilters.  Real Living Northwest Realtors is proud to announce that they will be using this new feature to connect to their younger audience.

The way it works.  Real Living Northwest Realtors will create a GeoFilter around every open house they host.  A Snapchatter can come into the house, take a pic and apply the branded Geofilter to it giving them a fun way of sharing the experience.  "For us, it's a win/win situation" said Keoki McCarthy the Desgnated Broker".  McCarthy went on to say, "Snapchatters tend to take a lot of pictures throughout the day and share with eachother.  Shopping for a home is a big event and is a perfect opportunity to share.  We will be giving them a fun overlay to show the house they are visiting in a fun and creative way and at the same time giving our company a branding opportunity".

When asked if others were using this strategy.  Stephanie McCarthy, President of Real Living Northwest Realtors said "as far as we know we are the first.  The Geofilters just came out for small businesses and businesses are only now starting to come up with creative ideas".  In her opinion it will only be a matter of time before others are doing something similar.  But for now they are excited to offer the younger home buying generation a tool that others are not.
