Zaniac Woburn and ChartaCloud Technologies to Host Special Open House with NAO the Humanoid Robot

The NAO Robot from Aldebaran Robotics is Designed to Inspire and Engage Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)
PORTSMOUTH, N.H. - Feb. 23, 2016 - PRLog -- Zaniac Woburn and ChartaCloud Technologies (“ChartaCloud”) today announced that the companies will host a special open house on February 27, 2016 featuring an interactive hands-on experience with NAO the Humanoid Robot. The event is open to all students in the in the area who’d like to participate. In addition to interacting with NAO, students will be able to sample some additional Zaniac Woburn’s programs including LEGO® Robotics and Game-based Learning: Minecraft™.

At the event, students will have the opportunity to program the NAO robot using Choreographe® an award-winning software program and learn about the robot’s special capacities to walk, talk, sing, dance, tell stories, answer questions, play soccer and learn about its special capacities for facial and object recognition.

The open house will be held Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Zaniac Woburn campus located at 358 Cambridge Road in Woburn, in the Whole Foods plaza. Zaniac Woburn offers fun, uniquely engaging STEM enrichment for K-8 students and has partnered with ChartaCloud Technologies, a New Hampshire-based technology company, to showcase the Robot at this special event.

The NAO humanoid robot was designed and developed by Aldebaran Robotics. ChartaCloud works with schools, universities, and research institutions in the New England area to deliver the robot and robotic based curricula for STEM education. Using the NAO robot, students can learn and experiment with an extensive array of programming and learning tools in a fun and practical way while engaging them with the possibilities and potential of technology and scientific careers. Zaniac Woburn provides after-school activities for parents who want their children to develop a passion for exploring and innovating and offers special STEM-focused programs and camps for students from Kindergarten through 8th grade.

The companies also announced a special contest where the school that has the most kids in attendance at this open house will win a visit from NAO at their school for an assembly or special presentation.
