EOS Lip Balm Can Damage Skin, Class Action Lawsuit Alleges

NEW YORK - Feb. 23, 2016 - PRLog -- A class action lawsuit was filed last week in U.S District Court in the Southern District of New York against the makers of EOS lip balm. According to the complaint, the lip balm, which is endorsed by celebrities including Kim Kardashian and Britney Spears, has left consumers with painful, bleeding rashes and blisters. The lawsuit seeks damages and demands accurate advertising for the product.

According to court documents, EOS’ lip balm has caused consumers’ lips to crack, bleed, itch, burn, flake and generate severe boiling and blistering on and around the lips.

The complaint alleges that the balm has made some consumers lips crack so severely that they bled and blistered forcing them to seek medical care.

Attorney Jeanne Lahiff, a partner of the law firm Imbesi Law P.C., represents the plaintiffs, along with the law firm Napoli Shkolnik PLLC.
